You'll no doubt have seen people on Facebook sharing where they went on holiday, where they're travelling to now or even how much money they made last month.

It's easy to start thinking that you must be doing something wrong if you're not making that much or you're not yet in the position to travel to your hearts content.

But really . . .

You're doing fine.

Unless you're not working on your business at all and using the "build it and they will come" school of thought, whatever you're working on in your business is progress. It's you getting one step closer to where you want your business to be.

Dwelling on other people's success isn't going to improve your business or how you feel about it. Yes it's easy to think things like:

I'll never get there
I can't just drop everything and travel
How could I ever make that much money in a year let alone a month?!

I'll let you in on a little secret . . .

The people who you're envious of right now, they felt the same about someone else's life once too.

Right now you're comparing where you are in your business to where they are in theirs. You're not in the same place so of course it doesn't look the same!

Instead of being envious, use it to fuel your focus. The more you want something, the harder you're willing to work for it. Do things like:

  • Create a vision board of all the things you want to acheive this year and put it in a place you'll see it all the time.

  • Set yourself goals, break them down into mini goals and start working on them!

  • Create challenges for yourself to complete to keep pushing forward.

  • Do one thing in your business today that the person on facebook would do, without giving it a second though.

Remember that everyone has to start somewhere. Use your background to your advantage. Everything that has happened in your life up to this point has shaped you into who you are. No-one else is like you and no-one else can do what you do the way you do it. It's not the wrong thing to do if it feels right to you!
